Why does my power button blink 3 times?
i recently found my lost laptop. When i plug in my charger the power button flashes 3 times and then nothing happens from there.

For others reading this there are two power staus lights.
One is for the AC power located on the back of the computer.
The other one on the top right from the keyboard is the power on light.
Rick have you tried activating the emergency reset button.
This is located on the bottom of the laptop and can be activated by inserting a paperclip in the hole.
Here are the steps:
- Unplug power
- Find a thin paper clip
- Locate the Emergency Reset Hole on your laptop
- Press and hold the Reset Hole for ten seconds with the paper clip
- Power on

Hello Mike,
I have the same problem with the same laptop brand.
Lenovo Thinkpad T480. I tried the reset method but nothing changed,
Maybe there is something more i can do to check for the problem.
I will apriciate if u have any other advice.

• Three Blinks quickly: The computer is entering sleep or hibernation mode.
• Three Blinks slowly: The computer is in sleep mode.
Page 35 explains sleep and hibernation modes.
couldn't find the reset button. i just reseat the battery and it was successfully powered on.

I have the same Issue with my Lenovo X1 carbon 6th. When I press the power button nothing happens. But when I plug in the AC cable the light on the back flash tree times. And there is some sound from the processor.
