No touch screen after replacement

I just finished following the guide to replace my screen. It looks great but it does not respond to touch at all. It's not glued back in place yet, only held on by the flex cable to test the screen. I was very careful not to touch the screen on initial bootup. Did I get a lemon or am I missing something?

It's been 2 years Did you find any solution?

@dhanpatisharma Google has known issues with their replacement parts, so if you bought a genuine Google screen, it should be considered suspect. Is it possible for you to try the original screen to verify that touch is still working on that? If so, then it's fairly definite that your replacement screen is defective.

I don't have other screen to check to... I came across a video on YouTube of an iPad which has the same issue, it was fixed by changing the touch IC...I Thought may be the pixel 6 pro has the same touch IC problem

@dhanpatisharma While it's possible, it's very rare for the chips to fail; I don't recall seeing any cases where that has been true for a Pixel phone. It's virtually always a problem with the screen itself or occasionally the connector to the motherboard. I would look into getting a replacement for your screen under warranty. As I mentioned before, if it's a genuine Google part they have a history of not working even when brand new.

If the flex from the screen is fully connected to the motherboard and it does not appear that the connector or components surrounding the connector are damaged, you most likely have a defective screen which can happen. It's great that you didn't glue the screen on yet as most suppliers won't take the screen back after it has been fully installed as damaged can occur during the removal. I would try a different screen if you've already rechecked the connection on the current screen.

There is a small ribbon connector near the bottom of the screen. It may be covered by black tape. Release the connector and remove and reseat the ribbon cable.

Can you post a pic as where it's located

@dhanpatisharma I do not know what connector this user was referring to; there are no connectors associated with the display or the touch screen anywhere near the bottom of the phone. I would think the only connector that is of any use in checking is the single display connector on the left side of the screen when viewed from the back. You can see it plainly in Step 14 of the screen replacement guide.

So , do you know any other solution? Do you think ,can the LCD connector on the phone be faulty?

I tried removing the black film on the bottom of the screen but I did not find the connector also
