My Bose 3-2-1 2005 will not stay open to insert CD or DVD UNLESS FORCED

1richkate are you saying it moves out and then immediately closes again? Did this just start happening or did anything precede this?

That is what it does, had not been used for quite a while. If it stayed closed often it would not play a DVD

That is what it does, had not been used for quite a while. If it stayed closed often it would not play a DVD — 1richkate
