Instructions on replacing the IDE CDROM cable
My IDE Cable got damaged and they had a stuffed through a tiny hole in the back, I see no way to move the case so that I can slip another one through that hole.
I tried using cedar cables but it will not boot when pressing the C key or option key

You tried a new IDE cable and it did not work, correct?

There’s no way to put in a new ide cable. Look at the sata blue ray instructions. See where they fish a sata cable, that’s where you have to fish a new ide cable. No way to do it.
