Hey my iPhone 7 has been submerged in water and has water damage… it works perfectly but my home button has been going in and out until it finally stopped working.. I was wondering if in 2021 if I buy a home button from here will it actually work? I’m running on iOS 14.6…

You can get a replacement home button that will function for the “click”, and take you to the home screen from in apps, however there is no way to reinstate the TouchID for a damaged home button. Apple would be the only place where the TouchID could be restored (for a hefty fine no doubt), otherwise an aftermarket home button replacement is the way to go to restore clicking functionality to the device!
