Why is my s8+ keep freezing and rebooting?

Hello everyone,

My Samsung S8+ suddenly started to stuck at the boot screen and every force restart, hard reset and wipe cash attempts didn’t solve the problem.

I tried to flash the firmware and the download procedure has done smoothly through Odin, then the phone started normally and I reached the home screen,

but it keeps freezing and rebooting every few minutes (or sometimes it even reboots in the Samsung logo screen), and sometimes it continues to work perfectly for more than 10 minutes but then it freezes and reboots

I tried the safe mode but all the same

ps: the screen was replaced many months ago

SM-G955F

So you had no problems during the reflashing of the phone using Odin i.e. no glitching or freezing etc, only afterwards, is this about right?

Was the phone still connected to an external power source i.e. USB cord connected to the computer when the problems started afterwards or not?

If not, I'm wondering if it is a power problem with the battery.

Try leaving the charger connected and check what happens.

If it still happens then there is a hardware problem of some kind. Has the phone been dropped or gotten wet at all?

The only thing left to do now, as you have tried all the software remedies, is to open the phone and check that all the connections are secure and that there is no obvious physical damage to the boards or components.

Here's the ifixit Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus guide that will help you to do this.

If doing this seems too daunting, contact a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service and ask for a quote.

- Nothing wrong happening during flashing, neither glitching nor freezing, it all goes perfectly

- the problem happens regardless being connected to an external power source or not, it even sometimes happened during booting

- I tried to leave the charger connected but the problem still happened

yes the phone dropped but I don't remember if the problem started to appear at that point
