ZL and Select getting pressed simultaneously when pressing either one
I’ve been trying to fix a 3DS I bought on ebay. Managed to fix some issues but now I’m stuck with this! It took me long enough to get it not to turn off the console whenever ZR was pressed, but now I’m stuck with this!
Does anybody know why this could be happening? I reseated most of the ribon cables just in case which seemed to cause this issue, but get the console to stop getting into sleep mode whenever ZR was pressed. I feel like there’s a short somewhere but I don’t know where.
I’m mostly assuming there’s a ribon cable that’s put in sideways or something and is causing interefernce with other button inputs, but I have no idea where it would be, because I don’t know where the signals join together.
Something else that’s interesting is that it seems as though the buttons are always pressed down, since it boots up it’s special menus when going home from special modes.
Edit:
There’s a ribon cable with a black pin on it going towards the back on the charger side, seemingly the bottom touch LCD one. Would that be a posible cause?

Could it be loose button springs?
I mean it could cause that to be in a lowered down (close to pressed) state, thus causing them to activate at times when you don't want them to

It's not the case. It also doersn't explain why the console would go into sleep mode when pressing the buttons. I've already removed them and reinserted them multiple times.
