Hi,
You may be able to repair it yourself if the following information is correct and it is not what you were told by UBreakIfix.
According to the image shown by this supplier the DC-In jack appears to be a plug in module. Note the white connector plug and cable attached to the jack.
It does only state that it is for a Samsung XE500C13 and not the full model number that you have listed but you may be able to contact them (email address is shown in link) and verify if it is suitable for your particular model.
You may also be able to verify that it is an easily removable module piece yourself, by using the guides (see below) to gain access to the jack and check.
If it is suitable and you decide to replace the DC-In jack yourself, here’s a link to the ifixit Samsung Chromebook 3 (XE500C13-K01US) Repair guides that should be of some help in gaining access to the jack.
Alternatively, if it is suitable and you cannot do this yourself, order the part and then when you have it, contact a reputable, professional laptop repair service and ask for a quote to replace the jack and tell them that you will supply the part.
There may be other suppliers online that suit you better, I didn’t search too far ;-) Just search for Samsung XE500C3-K01US DC-In jack to get results
Hopefully this is of some help.
