Is it possible to replace my optical drive with an SSD?

Hi,

my MacBook Early 2008 (MacBook4,1) needs an upgrade, but several people told me that is not possible to replace the optical drive with an ssd.

It is true?

If is not true, which guide can I follow to achieve my goal?
