Backlight not working anymore

Hello,

My mid 2015 MacBook Pro 15” retina screen doesn’t light up anymore.

The apple logo as well doesn’t light up anymore. If I shine a flashlight through the Apple logo, I can see a little bit of my screen. Is there any guide specifically for a A1398 mid 2015?

Thank you in advance!

There are obviously no guides for a quite likely logic board backlight issue as it’s not a do it yourself repair. It requires skills and tools to find out what’s faulty and go through a component level repair. If you’re interested in the topic you can find several youtube videos that would give you an approximate idea of possible causes and the how to.

An alternative solution to a board repair, would be a board replacement, in which case this would be the suitable guide:

I have similar issue. Same model A1398 but this one had drink spilled over it. At first when powered up it was clear things were not right, so I took it apart, cleaned everything, checked the P fuse all good. Now it powers up fine but no screen backlight. Faint Apple logo when light held to back of screen. HDMI output to monitor works fine.

One thing looking through all the logic boards shown on here or anywhere else I can find my board has several different components compared to others. Were there different layouts between models. Would a logic board slightly different work ?

As the P fuse is intact I’m assuming there is nothing else can be done.

Picture shows a corner of my logic board where the P fuse is. Notice the green component next to it. That doesn’t appear on other boards from same model, plus some other components are different.
