On the left edge of my screen just about halfway down I have a very small black circle from my research it does not seem to be dead pixels but patiently part of the screen gasket? Is there a way to fix this or is it not worth the effort?

Don’t touch it if it’s working otherwise. Unless you want to experience a phone that’s totaled out due to the cost of the screen alone, live with it as you’re extremely lucky if it’s a crack.
However, if you insist on looking into it, here is this guide covers the process. This WILL compromise the water resistance for good, so don’t put the phone near water anymore if you can help it.
