I have a feeling the same question was asked exactly the same way some time back, do you remember @refectio ?

Seems like a normal screen that some clever marketing person has stuck an fx on to sell more screens to make people think their better in some way, with no actual information to explain the difference lol genius really they should work for Apple

@c9679

my thoughts were along the same lines.

rather than ask the supplier thought i would get an impartial opinion.

thanks for the reply.

Soluzione Prescelta

This is a new line of aftermarket screens (FX5) that were launched by InjuredGadgets a few months ago. They are claimed to be a superior quality aftermarket screen and quite a few shops seem to be quite pleased with the quality. You can read up about it on the “Cell Phone Repair Shop Talk” group on Facebook.

Personally, I ordered one and it was a bit of a “meh” for me. I felt the colours weren’t that great although the build quality is nice.

I have ordered the “In-Cell” screens from Injured Gadgets and those are very impressive. The colours are on par with original LCD’s and they solve all the BS about erratic touch on “original quality screens” that are common on the 7 Plus / 8 Plus due to mismatched LCD/BL/Touch panels coming from different manufacturers.

Thank you for the info. In-Cell technology seems to be the upper end of aftermarket displays. I wonder whether the mismatch on touch behavior between different original screens manufacturers is a necessity imposed by different technologies used or yet another step taken to make third party repairs more troublesome.

If you haven't already seen this, I recommend it.
