Forget lock number code

I have an old iPhone 4 and I totally forget the number code to get into it because I have not used it in many years. My spouse had suddenly died 4 years ago of Cancer and I've been trying to get into it to get old pictures and messages etc. It was her account and I don't have an Apple ID oh, so how can I figure out the number code to unlock it? I've always used something I would remember such as my birthday or anniversary or even one of my nieces birthday, but I have no idea what code I had put in back then. Thank you so much for your help!!!

what software version is it running?

Have you used it with iTunes in the past? I'm not sure how to go about unlocking the device without resetting it, but if it's trusted a computer in the past, you may be able to connect it and at least access and backup photos, etc.

All I see is Model No: A1349

I know nothing about iPhones and never even wanted it, buuuuut, my Spouse wanted one, so, that was it. Lol

I'm just now about able to finally want to get them, although, it's the amount of texts that were sent the day she passed that's kept me off...

Does the model number work for you to help? I'm sorry, I'm just clueless...haha...TY

da

Jonah, I know absolutely zero about iPhones/iTunes, ect...

like I said, the account has obviously been closed since 2015 and I've always used four numbers that I still used to this day on my other phones over the years.

Dan, not a clue what software, so I put the model number...

I’m sorry, but there’s no way to figure out your old password or remove it on an iPhone if you don’t know what it is.

If you have a computer that the phone was previously connected to, you should be able to connect the phone to it via USB and browse the photos to recover them, or make an iTunes backup and recover the photos from there.

Alternatively, if you know your spouse had an iCloud account and you’re able to access their email, you might be able to reset the password on that account (at icloud.com) and see if you can recover any photos from there.

If you have no computers from then or no other way to access the phone, there aren’t really any other options.

Wish I had better news for you!

Well of course she did not have an iCloud account n I have access to a PC. I don't recall if it has ever been plug-in to the PC through the USB port or not, because like I said we've had it like less than a month before the passing, so, I'll try. As I said I have about 90 to 95% of the pictures already comment but it was the text messages that I'm finally able to look at it and I just want to lay this puppy to bed. It does say that the iPhone is disabled and to try again in 58 minutes so I'll give it a whirl it is not I really appreciate your help both you and the other gentleman!!!

@auntdawny yeah. iPhones are normally *very* secure, but the downside to that is that if you forget the password, there's absolutely no access. If you aren't able to get the passcode, there isn't going to be a way to read the text messages, unfortunately.

Yeah, I was just thinking about that and hey, maybe that's just meant to be, because it was a ton of condolences in there, as well as hers, so, then it is what it is, and I hate that phrase. Have
