What causes an unresponsive Keyboard, but a functional Trackpad?
Hello!
I’ll cut straight to the point. About a month ago I figured my laptop needed a pick-me-up, so I spilled a shot of whiskey right onto the trackpad. (That was a joke.) Later that night, my trackpad seemed to be shorting, causing it to click a few times per second. Knowing it was wet, I shut it down for about a week, left it to dry. I turned it on to full function, trackpad no longer clicked fast. I thought all was well, but the keyboard has since become unresponsive. The power button works, but that’s about it. I’ve managed to hit enter on occasion. The trackpad is fully functional and seems to have no issues.
I have read other threads talking about the trackpad connector, but I have a feeling there may be more to this issue (of which I take full blame.) I am an auto mechanic who can fix an occasional electronic. Does anyone have a good idea of where to start?
Thanks! -Harrison
