Test Lcd/Digitizer without the logic board.

Hi! I’ve been Stocking up iPhone screens in case clients want thier screen replaced. Now I want to test these displays to make sure thier not defective. I don’t have a logic board or any iPhone 6s lying around to test them with. So how do I test them without the logic board. Is there a testing pad I can buy for several models?

They do have this stuff on Ali express and eBay.

It’s fairly expensive and I don’t see how it’s worth it unless I’m a screen refurbisher or someone that is a wholesaler for iPhone screens.

It costs around $280 USD. I just end up testing these screens on the spot before fully installing them when I feel like it.

There are tester machines available via aliexpress. I didn’t include a link because their links are insanely long but do a search for “iphone 6s screen tester” on their main page and you will see some machines.

IMHO, having a spare housing that is known-good is great for troubleshooting purposes. You can accumulate some iCloud locked devices and give them a useful life.

I haven’t used these machines so take this for what it’s worth.
