New Digitizer Touch is off

I just got a new digitizer installed on an HP Pavilion for touchscreen. Kid stepped on the screen, when I took the screen apart there is no visual damage to anything besides the digitizer. So I order a new one.

With the touchscreen installed, it works and looks good, but the touch is off, it's off by far sometimes sometimes just inches.

I tired recalibrating it in windows 10, no go. I tried a hard reset as HP recommends. I uninstalled the drivers and reinstalled the drivers for the screen. Then recalibrated the screen. No go.

There is a hardware test on the HP screen, now this one seems to be pretty responsive, but it think I'm touching the exact opposite of where I'm touching, but it passes the test.

Oh by the way, this is the second digitizer I ordered, returned one as I though that it was bad when it did the same thing.

Any ideas on what could be wrong?

Have you tried another supplier? Sometimes these come in bad batches, so any others you get from the same supplier will be defective or of poor quality.

Ok, on the underneath of the digitizer is there any metal that could be causing grounding issues? I had a similar issue last year, that once taped off properly, the issue was resolved.
