My phone fall in the pool so it doesn't light on what does that mean

Sir hi I need help My Huawei P10 still new fall in water deep in so that accident happened around 5 pm so the service centre we already closed so I didn't take it there because they were closed so I didn't open it I leave it because it was not switching on so the following day I took it to the fixing service centre then they told me to come back after 5 days so after that wait I finally go there then they told me that they tried and failed the phone still can't switch on ..so me I'm asking if is there anything that can be done pliss I need he help

As you know liquids and electronics and electricity are not a good mix.

The liquid causes corrosion and provides circuit paths for the electricity which were not in the phone's operating design and could damage the components. The corrosion process starts immediately and continues until it has been cleaned properly

First do not turn on your phone and then you need to remove the battery as soon as possible from the phone to minimize further damage.''

Then you need to dis-assemble the rest of the phone and clean all the affected parts using Isopropyl Alcohol 90%+ to remove all traces of corrosion and water. Do not use "rubbing alcohol" as in some cases this is <70% and can contain scents and therefore is not as effective. If you do check the label to verify the amount

Electronics Water Damage

As always with electronics, especially surface mounted PCBs be gentle when handling and especially when brushing away the corrosion. You do not want to remove any components from the board.

Hopefully after you have done all this the phone might possibly work correctly again.

Here is a link to the ifixit's guide(s) on how to repair your phone. It is useful as it shows how to dis-assemble your phone so that it can be cleaned properly.

Huawei P10 Repair

If this process seems too daunting, take your phone to a reputable, professional mobile phone repair service, experienced in water damage repair and ask for a quote for a repair. (take it to a different repairer than last time. They should not have told you to wait for 5 days. The longer you wait the harder it is to fix it)

If you decide to do this, do it sooner than later.

Yes I understand all those advise but I think it's too late because I didn't know what to do Huawei P10 is a confusing phone like at first I didn't know how to open it I didn't know that u don't have to switch on but my phone doesn't switch on anymore Even the service fixer failed to fix it maybe their fixing method was no that professional so I'm asking if is there any possibility that my phone can work again?

Hi @morupule ,

Was the repairer experienced in water damage repair. Not all are.

You may have to find a more professional repairer with the proper equipment who will clean it properly in an ultrasonic bath.

It might (only might) work again and perhaps the battery will have to be replaced.

You can only try. Depends if you are prepared to gamble and pay the quoted price of the repair.
