Turns on and Off multiple times before screen shows clear picture

I have a 46 in Samsung LN46550P3FXZA and it takes up to an hour to turn on. Once I press the power button it turns on but the screen will go anywhere from lines to glitchy looking and the tv will sometimes make a weird noise. It will do this repeatedly as it cycles on and off. Eventually it will show a clear picture and work. If I take out the HDMI FireStick it will work fine when turned on far as exploring the menu and or changing various options. I don't have cable or anything else hooked up so do not know if the problem is confined to HDMI connections. When the problem started it would only turn on and off a few times before it would work but it has worsened. Is this an easy affordable fix or should I just buy a new TV?
