It wasn't dropped or bumped but was packed on it's side for the trip is that a problem? When plugged in nothing happens. I tried the reset button several times.

Do you have a second unit or a friend who has one? If so see if their AC transformer works with your unit. Otherwise you'll need to see if its still covered under warranty, then look at getting it fixed.

Are you sure the electrical outlet is live? Is the transformer the correct one for the unit and fully plugged in?
