How to assemble the below components together - please mention all cables and connections

Motherboard/ processor - INTEL DQ45CB MOTHERBOARD W/ CORE 2 DUO E8400 3.0GHZ + HEATSINK & I/O PLATE

RAM - DDR2 - 2 X 4 GB

HDD - WDC 250 GB Blue SATA

No Optical drive

I already have motherboard, processor and fan assembled together. so won't need instruction on that. Thanks again.

Sorry about the delayed​ answer, just want you to know I'm working on it. BTW, most of the info you need is in the motherboard manual. I will reference​ it a lot in my answer. I will also provide a link to a PDF for it.

Thanks a lot for the update. will this case fit my motherboard, I am talking with a local guy but not sure if the backside of case will fit all my ports (usb, audio/video etc.)

Steps

  1. Since you already put the processor and heat sink on the motherboard, instruction is not necessary. But before you install the mobo, use the below manual to install the RAM. Pages 38-41.
  2. Install the motherboard. You will need a manual. The manual tells how to install it and plug the on/off and status LEDs on the case into the mobo (mobo is short for motherboard). Manual: Pages 30-32 http://downloadmirror.intel.com/16958/en...
  3. Install the power supply unit, or PSU for short. Use the manual included with the case or the PSU's manual. A good cheap PSU: https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-WHITE-Power-...
  4. Install the HDD. Again, use the case manual.
  5. If you do get a GPU (referred to as GPU, graphics adapter, graphics processing unit, etc.) use page 44 of the mob manual to do so.
  6. Now start plugging stuff in. This stuff doesn't need to be in a special order. Using a SATA cable, attach the HDD to the mobo. Page 45. (for future reference, all page numbers are for the motherboard manual unless otherwise noted).
  7. Plug in the all the header pins with the help of the case manual and mobo manual pages 46-50. This can be annoying.

@pccheese - Thanks very much for your help, which is very highly appreciated. I got the case with PSU this afternoon and will get started with assembling everything tonight or tomorrow, following your above instructions. Do you mean to create another question to finish the instructions?
