The door is open and the latch is stuck in the locked position. tryed to bypass but will not work. how do i remove the frount cover to check to see if the part is working.

The door probably thinks it is already closed and the lever is pushed forward in the lock position. Use a screwdriver to push it back. That failing here is the replacement part: http://www.repairclinic.com/PartDetail/D...

So, I tried that but not sure which way to push it looks like it rolls up and I need to push it down but it will only allow me to roll it so far then stops
Any other thoughts?
