Android phone massive battery drain

Hello!

I recently factory reset my htc one m8 because it was full of junk. Before, the battery would last me about 1.5-2 days with how much i use it. Now,it barely lasts half a day.

I have tried every guide,every app,and every tip i could find and absolutely nothing seems to work.

In the battery usage section it's just the android os consuming ~ 90% with the apps i use 2-3%.

Right now, it uses more battery on standby than it did when i was using it and it's so frustrating.

I upgraded from kitkat to marshmellow but the battery drainage is the exact same.Thanks for the update tho.

it gets a bit hot when it's carging but that's not the problem

Then i suggest you to replace the battery (basic physics :-) energy loss )
