Hi,

As water is a conductor of electricity you should turn off the tablet immediately and then open it and disconnect the battery from the systemboard as soon as you can. This is to prevent more damage to the components caused by errant circuit paths being created by the water. As there is always power connected to the systemboard (even if the tablet is turned off- the power switch does not isolate the battery - turning it off though will reduce the problems that may occur) due to the presence of water there is always the possibility of components being exposed to voltages or currents that they were not designed to cope with.

There is also the corrosive electrolysis effect between the elements that are found in water, (whether they are added deliberately or not, think chlorine, fluoride, natural minerals etc) and the metals contained in a tablet (or phone) which occurs and is aided by the supply of electricity. This corrosion will be removed by the alcohol.

Once the battery has been isolated, all parts of the tablet, especially the systemboard can be very carefully and gently cleaned with Isopropyl Alcohol 90%+ and a soft brush (you do not want to brush components off the board) and then allowed to completely dry.

When satisfied that you have done all you can, re-assemble the tablet and hopefully it may turn on successfully.

you should turn off the device immediately, dry out the device as much as you can. And then wait for 48 hours meanwhile, don’t turn on the device or charging.
