After ibook is powered off for some time the clock reverts back to 1969. In a pc that would suggest a new cmos battery is needed, what does it suggest here, as I'm unsure this model uses a PRAM battery. What do I need to replace?

This machine has no PRAM battery (cmos). You need to reset the PMU or it will revert to 1969 every restart. Here's how to do it: http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1431?viewl...
