Hi,
My name is Kyle and I was wondering if I could get a little bit more info on replacing the battery on the 3rd gen iPod Touch. Info such as what type of solder to use, dos and don'ts. It's my first time doing this and I want it to be right. I'm really nervous so any help would be greatly appreciated.

In addition to the battery replacement guide that I'm sure you found, we have a general guide on repairing soldered connections that should answer the questions you're asking. If you're really nervous about it, find a friend that's good at soldering and take them out to lunch for helping you replace your battery.

Thank you David. That is very resourceful. I'm not doing this until tonight or Sunday. If anyone has skype or anything and would like to give me some over the air help that'd be great.
