I cannot hear anything through my earpiece. any suggestions ? I used the twist technique to fix my speakerphone, excellent suggestion. . tried using soundabout app but didn't help. Havent done a reset yet. Any help would be greatly appreciated....

Hi,
Have you tried using the earphones with the microphone attached. If you can hear then that proves that your reception is OK (your speakerphone probably told you this anyway) It seems as though your receiver is either loose or is faulty and needs to be replaced.
Here is a link which shows how to replace the screen in your phone. It is handy as it shows how to dis-assemble your phone and at 5:18+ minutes into the video you can see your speaker.
