My phone ask for an update but it refuses to complete the system update. after two weeks it came up with a notification that "sysyem is not responding", and could not read my SD card. After three days it says that laucher is not responding and all my applications disappear. Nothing was functioning not even contact list or any app was showing.

Download the software update on a computer and hook up the phone to the computer and transfer the software update download to the phone after downloading it on your computer

If it doesn't work I will try and do more research on the phone
Yes you should be able to format the phone in its settings there should be a factory data reset option in the settings somewhere

i had tried that but its not working. can i reset the phone to factory level and try downloading the new software again?
