Still have intermittent charging after replacing I/O board.

Started having intermittent charging with Macbook (light on magsafe would either stay green or not turn on at all). Then I replaced the I/O board. It worked perfectly for 2 days, but not the same thing is happening with the new I/O board. Any thoughts???

Thanks for the reply!

I can get the battery to start charging if I connect and disconnect multiple times. Sometimes it works after a couple of times and sometimes I have to restart and reset the SMC.

Also, the charging tends to stop randomly after it gets going. (for example it may get to 61% and then quits charging or sometimes even charges completely and then overnight it loses "connection" and ends up being completely dead in the morning even though I haven't disconnected the power cable)

Got lots of thoughts ;-}

How about downloading this little gem of an app: coconutBattery. Post a screen shot of what it shows you with the charger plugged in and a second snap with the battery alone in your question so we can see whats up.

Update (09/05/2015)

Do you have access to a second charger? How beat up is yours? Is the cord damaged in any way?

While the cycle count is on the high side it still appears to have plenty of service left.

The only two things here I can think of is the power adapter is worn or the comparator logic on the main logic board is having problems.

You could try doing a SMC reset to see if that helps. Follow this Apple T/N: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your Mac

So the power cable looks intact but don't have another to test. I've reset the SMC without success.

I did find that if I disconnect the battery from the logic board the computer will boot normally.

Possibly bad battery?

Have you found any solution to this?

I had the I/O assembled again and the flex wire changed too after spilling milk tea on my macbook air 2015 model and when I got my macbook back any charger would only charge to a certain point and then stop charging and would just power my laptop. Clicking on the battery icon in the menu bar would say that the battery is not charging and the source is the power adapter.
