Flex screen, display iPhone 6, in or outside of the shield plate?

Hello everybody.

I buy a display of iPhone 6, and the seller told me, for the mount a display with flex outside of the shield plate.

I don't understand for what...

The original display, coming with flex inside of the shield plate.

I understand a no good quality screen, can leave a stain, if leave the flex inside of the shield plate....

If I leave the flex outside of the shield plate, can damage mi iPhone 6?

The flex belongs on the inside of the plate. To me it sounds like you purchased a very low grade/cheap screen and the seller doesn't want you to put any pressure on that flex cable. Not sure if it will cause any damage if you leave the flex cable outside of the plate but Im sure its designed to go behind the metal plate for a reason. I would return the screen and purchase a high quality screen so you can reassemble the screen the way it was manufactured.

I'm not sure exactly what they're asking you to do, but you would always wants to put your phone back together the same way it was taken apart. I have replaced many iPhone 6 screens, and I always put everything back exactly the same way it came out.

It doesn't matter if the screen was refurbished or not. If the screen was properly refurbished he would not be asking you to do this, the fact that he wants you to not resemble the screen properly is a major red flag.

I think what he was asking was for you test the screen before installing it at all. He was asking you to hook up the flex cables with the shields on to test functionality. I work for a parts supplier and we always ask customers to dry-test an item before they install, that way we know if its defective without any installation errors.
