iPhone 5c screen not working after replacement

I replaced a screen on an Iphone 5c. Now having display problems. When i first replaced the screen and powered the device up, I got a white "cloud" in the center of the screen. I disassembled the device and ensured the connections were good. Powered it back up and the display was even more messed up. The apple logo never appears. On the new screen it displays a back light with 5 very faint red vertical lines. On the second screen (which was cracked) it displays a back light with one red vertical line. On the 3rd screen (which was cracked) it displays a back light with white boxes that are horizontal on the top and 2 vertical white lines on the bottom. The cracked screens worked prior to removal. I've used a toothbrush and cleaned the 3 connectors a bunch of times and done the long home/power button press as well. Any thoughts? Thanks
