Putting 5 flex lighting and headphone into a 5C

I stupidly bought the wrong lighning and headphone replacement and have recieved 5 instead of 5C parts.

Am I able to install the iPhone 5 part into the 5C?

I have it all open in front of me and it will really save time if I can just install the part I have.

They are different, so it seems iPhone 5 part can't work well in iPhone 5C.

The connector that clips in to the board are different on the 5 and 5c, the 5 connector is smaller
