Is it Video or Logic Board failure?

I get a chime, logo and spinner. Shortly after nothing more then a grey screen.

AHT, the basic passes but the extended puts me into a grey screen after a short time.

Booting to install CD works but then drops me to a grey screen.

A 3rd party hardware check gives the same results.

I would unfortunately say logic board, does not sound like a gpu issue.

As a last test try booting to target disk mode and verifying your drive.

I have been able to boot to target disk and retrieve all info.

Yeah logic board then.
