Water Damage Fixed, but Rear Camera Not Functioning
Hey, I have an iPhone 4 32gb (CDMA - Verizon) that I just cleaned up for water damage (removed all corrosion with isopropyl alcohol). The phone boots up & work's near-flawlessly now, however the rear camera/Flashlight simply wont work.
I attempted switching in its place a new camera (in the same phone), but it still wouldn't work; leading me to assume that it may be one of the components on the board. Upon closer inspection in the logic board, I could see that the corrosion ate into the metal rear camera connector and its surrounding components - here's a picture:
Do any of you know which parts I'd need to fix this, or if the problem is even from the logic board? I personally am new to smd soldering and am buying Elenco's smd training equipment/guides, soldering supplies, and a smd magnifying glass. Do you guys think that's a good place to start, before diving into a repair like this? I'm open to any suggestions, thank you!
