Phone not working after complete rebuild

I am working on changing the screen and back housing for my 5c, the screen was cracked and I needed to change the color on the back. I bought a cheap replacement screen which worked when I first tested it on original phone.

However, when I then tore down the phone and painstakingly replaced piece by piece into the new back housing, the screen now has a thick white line going down the center as well as red lines going across. The screen is now also completely unresponsive.

Any idea what went wrong? Or it have something to do with the screen (which worked when first tested) and not the rest of the phone?

Also, when I took apart the phone I did not notice the gold-colored contact cap from the threaded post in the rear case and obviously couldn't put it back in the rebuild. Is this piece essential? Could it have something to do with the problem I'm experiencing?

Just make sure you have the connectors seeded proporly if they are it does sound like a damaged screen.. The flex cables are so very easy to damage the slightest bend can damage them

Are you referring to the three flex cables that attach from the screen to the logic board or are there other other connections that could be causing this that I should double check?

Yes the 3 screen cables ..

Also plug into iTunes and see does the phone get reconises by it

When plugged into computer iTunes opens up and asks to allow computer to access information on iPhone. However can't go further then that since you need to confirm access on the phone itself.

Right ok that's a good sign shows the iPhone is booting up ..

It's a screen that you need a new one will fix your problem..

Unless you have damaged pins on the motherboard were the lcd or digitiser is .

If all looks ok the order a screen

Would it be easy to notice if the pins on the motherboard were damage?
