How and where can I buy HDD?

Hello, I'm facing a long trouble with my iMac (Mid 2010), the Internal Hard Drive is broke (S.M.A.R.T problem), and I don't know how, how much and where I can buy a new Hard Disk.

I bought a wrong model (see model here: http://centralart3.dominiotemporario.com...), and I know the way to change, so I just want some help to teach me how and where to buy, because here in Brazil the HDD + the labor to repair (In Apple Care Network) is about $300,00 for 1TB HD.

So if I buy this (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/10TB-Hitac...), with this (http://www.powerbookmedic.com/Intel-iMac...) my iMac will run perfectly again?

Thanks and sorry for my english.

This machine uses Apple priority heat sensors on the drive and just any drive will not work. Even the temperature sensors are different:

Hitachi 922-9215

Seagate 922-9216

Western Digital 922-9622

If using other than an Apple drive, question the seller, and I would use someone who knows like OWC before buying.

Your links are correct. PowerBook Medic is knowable on these drives. Of course if you select the same brand of hard drive (among those Apple drives listed) you will not need to change the temp sensor.

So, these models will come with temp sensor?

Another question, the root of this error could be the temp sensor (because I formated my original hard drive as an External Drive - with a HD Case)

The external shouldn't matter that much but check here as you may have a recall item: http://www.apple.com/support/imac-harddr...

Sadly my original HDD has 500gb of storage.

And can I run a HDD (perfectly) without one temp sensor?

*PS: I discovered that my 'wrong' model actually is a recommended model from OWC (I checked the serial number and informations and it's this http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Seagate/S...)

I'm so confused, I bought the 'right HDD', but iMac isn't recognizing, this is my question, The real problem couldn't be the tem sensor?

The new hard drive is a SATA 6.0Gb/s. It needs to be jumpered down to 3 Gb/s for your Mac to see it.

Any 3.5" Serial ATA (3 Gb/s) (SATA II) drive will work.
