Ipad 2 not charging after digitizer replacement. Any ideas?

I've just replaced the front panel and digitiser on an iPad 2 Wifi. I've been using it for a few hours and battery life has depleted at its usual rate. When plugging it into the mains or laptop it doesn't show as charging or hold any charge.

I've tried turning off and resetting but have been unsuccessful.

Has anyone else had a similar problem or is able to give me any advice?

I'll be opening her up again tomorrow to have a closer inspection.

Many thanks for the replies.

It was indeed a damaged charging dock connector. Fortunately it was a £3.99 fix.

As mentioned above if you are using a metal spudger to get the old screen off, you may have gone through the charging dock cable, however before removing this new digitizer, please ensure you try another charger in case the current one is faulty

see if you disconnected charging port cable or damaged it by any chance

cheak the power cable if there is any small crack , when you open the digitizer maybe you dameg it it is located near the volume switch

hiya i wonderd if you can help me i have took the digitilzer off a ipad 2 wifi and the plastic bits where the digilizer cable goes in has come off n how do i put them bk on or does it affect it without them please can you email me on fozzy58@outlook.com
