Hello:
I have some RAM sticks but don't have an applicable computer to install it into to test it.
How else do I test it outside with no desktop or laptop?

I have a couple of medium sized boxes full of old RAM. Some I remember, most I don't. Fot the most part it's RAM I got when I did a upgrade. Currently I am building on my collection of 256 modules for the MacBooks. The thing with all this RAM is who wants it? Who would want to go back into a machine with the RAM that came with it instead of an upgrade? I would be great if I could use it in a old Mac but they don't work. The best use I made of them when I had my store was to put short strings and hooks on them to decorate a office Christmas tree. I also have a garage full of old macs, stacks of floppy drives, CD ROMS, keyboards that will sit there till I die because, for the most part, I can't give them away. Even if you knew what your RAM sticks were and that they still functioned, what would you do with them?

People on the LEM swap will often buy old memory- there's a lot of people still using Lombards, Pismos, iBook G3s, etc.
That is nowhere near an answer to the question.

The only way I know of outside of a computer is a commercially made RAM tester. These usually are type specific so if you had several different types you would need several testers. The only people I know of with this kind of setup are those who manufacture new or sell used memory in quantity. Perhaps you can find friends who have computers that can use the memory to test it. Perhaps Mayer or one of the people still in the business will have a better answer for you. Ralph
