Usando la punta delle dita, apri il badge del sistema.

Rimuovi la vite (M1.6x6) che fissa la cover inferiore al supporto per i polsi.

Rimuovi le otto viti (M2x3, Torx) che fissano la cover inferiore al supporto per i polsi.

Iniziando dal retro del computer, solleva la cover inferiore usando uno spudger.

Togli la cover inferiore dal supporto per i polsi.

Disconnetti il cavo della batteria dalla scheda madre.

Stacca il nastro adesivo che attacca il cavo dell'altoparlante alla batteria.

Rimuovi la vite (M1.6x4) che fissa la batteria al supporto per i polsi.

Rimuovi le tre viti (M2x2) che fissano la batteria al supporto per i polsi.

Togli la batteria dal supporto per i polsi.

Capovolgi il computer, apri lo schermo e premi il bottone di accensione per circa 5 secondi per mettere a terra il computer.

Per sostituire la batteria & riassemblare il tuo dispositivo, segui queste istruzioni in ordine inverso.

Thank you for the guide! This was not too tough a repair and now my laptop is as good as new!
Took me about ten minutes to do this on my spouse’s laptop. The parts that took the most time were unplugging the battery and peeling the speaker wire tape. I suspect someone that’s never opened a consumer electronic before could get this fix done in 10 - 40 minutes.
I had some problems with the M2x2 screw on the lower left corner of the battery, which almost got stripped using the Phillips #0 from the iFixit kit. I had to remove the other screws first and then rotate the battery around the remaining one to loosen it a bit, then managed to unscrew it with the Phillips #1.
Great.
My battery had already been replaced by a Dell repair technician, so I found I had to temporarily displace a taped pair of wires, otherwise no pitfalls.
Other than the case is razor-sharp - beware running the spudger along the edge that you don't cut your fingers!
