Introduzione

This device features two sets of infrared lights. The set on the left side is for long range, while the set on the right is for short range. This guide shows the steps for replacing the long-range set, but the process is the same for the short-range set as well. Before you begin, be sure to take a look at the Device Troubleshooting Page to verify that the infrared lights are really faulty.

Passo 1 Open the Device

Remove the six silver 11.4 mm Phillips #0 screws that hold the device shell in place.
Pry open the shell using the plastic opening tools if necessary. To do this, locate the groves running along the side of the entire device and wedge it open.

Find the infrared light assemblies, which are located at the front end of the device on either side of the lens.
The process is the same regardless of which light you are replacing.
Lift the light assembly away from the rest of the device.

Use the plastic opening tools to pry open the light assembly.

Passo 4 Disconnect the Lights

Use the soldering iron and desoldering braid to de-solder the wires from the lights.
