Follow this guide to replace dead AA batteries in your Logitech K540 wireless keyboard.
It’s natural for batteries to lose capacity as they age. If your keyboard dies quickly and doesn't hold a charge, it may be time to replace the battery.

Slide the power switch on the top right corner to the OFF position.

Flip your keyboard over and lay it down so the edge with the two tilt legs is closest to you.

Use your finger to pull the tab near the middle of the battery cover inward, towards the center of the cover.

With the tab pulled in, lift and remove the cover.

Use your finger to lift the edge of the outer battery and remove it.

Slide the second battery out of the recess and remove it.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Visit Logitech Recycling to find your nearest recycling points, including the option to mail back old devices to Logitech for free if there’s no convenient solution in your area. And don’t let good working parts or repaired devices die a slow death in your sock drawer—pass them along to someone who can use them.
