The paper tray can be removed by flipping the printer upside down and pulling the paper tray out as if you were going to fill it with paper.

Gently turn over the entire machine and set down carefully.

Firmly grasp the tray and remove from rest of the printer.

Purchase a replacement paper tray. And Slide it in place of the old tray!
