SYNCHRON CX fi Clinical Systems Operating Instructions Manuals

Important Notes for CX PRO Instruments Version 6.0

Important Notes

Purpose

This Important Note page consists of information or corrections that were discovered after the manual went to print. These notes only apply to CX PRO instruments using software version 6.0 . In future manual revisions, this information will be incorporated into the body of the operations manual. After reading through the notes, place these Important Notes pages at the front of your operation manual for reference.

Using Controls from Storage at -15° to -20° C:

When a Level # 3 control is removed from the freezer and immediately run on the instrument, the high viscosity of the control material may trigger a clot detection. Beckman Coulter Level #3 controls include Decision , SYNCHRON , Triad and Nysspath .

Using a Floppy Diskette:

If you attempt to use a floppy diskette, a message (or similar message) "unable to mount the disk" may appear. The solution is to remove the floppy diskette, reboot the system, and use the diskette again.

Defining QC Controls Sequentially:

To facilitate proper diagnostics and the transfer of information through the modem, QC control definitions must be created without gaps or blanks between each control item during QC setup.

Note 4

Performing a Data Backup/Restore Procedure:

When performing a backup/restore procedure (either a full backup or alignment data only), wait until the light on the floppy diskette drive turns off before removing the floppy diskette. This may take several seconds after the "Backup/Restore Complete" note appears on the screen. If the floppy diskette is removed before the light on the floppy drive turns off, the data transfer may be incomplete.
