Toshiba's 2012 Satellite Laptop has a sturdy structure, weighing 5.5 lbs, that makes it durable for everyday and frequent use. It is compatible with many accessories as it contains 3 USB ports, a DVD burner, and a microphone/headset jack. This laptop is modifiable, as it contains features such as expandable memory (up to 16 GB).
There have been recalls for Toshiba Satellites, but none for this specific model. The main fault found with these laptops are their reoccurring battery issues. The Toshiba Satellite C855D-S5303 was replaced by the Toshiba Satellite C55D-A5240NR in June of 2013.
