Siemens Acuson X300 Repair

The Siemens Acuson X300 is a compact, all-digital ultrasound system that came out in 2006. Siemens built it as a mid-range, shared-service machine meant to be more mobile and versatile than the older Acuson Sequoia 512 it replaced.

It covers a range of departments from cardiology to OB/GYN. The system runs on a Windows-based operating system and includes a QuikStart feature that boots from standby in about 12 seconds. It uses a DIMAQ-IP workstation for study storage and Hanafy lens technology in the transducers for improved image penetration. The cart design is modular, allowing facilities to swap reporting packages for specialized use in pediatrics, urology, or emergency medicine.

The Acuson X300 is an upright, cart-based system, more compact than traditional full-sized consoles. The standard model has a 15-inch flat-panel display while the Premium Edition has a larger 18-inch screen. The monitor sits on an articulating arm that tilts and swivels. The control panel is height-adjustable with a backlit interface and a central trackball for navigation. The unit sits on four steerable, lockable wheels and has a handle integrated into the monitor assembly for transport.

The identification label on the rear panel lists the model number and the manufacture date. The standard and Premium editions can also be distinguished by the software revision displayed on the startup screen.
