Sennheiser Momentum 5 Repair

The Sennheiser Momentum 5 Wireless is an over-ear closed-back ANC Bluetooth headphone, released in June, 2026. The Momentum 5 is the successor to the Sennheiser Momentum 4.

The Momentum 5 features 42 mm drivers and a frequency response of 6 Hz to 40 kHz via Bluetooth and USB-C, with a reduced frequency response via the 2.5 mm line-in port. The headset supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio, aptX Lossless, and Bluetooth 6.0 compatibility.

The Momentum 5 is made of metal and plastic. The battery, in the left earcup, is user-replaceable and is secured by fasteners with no adhesive. Sennheiser claims 57 hours of battery life from the 700 mAh battery, with active noise cancellation enabled.

The active noise cancellation uses four MEMS microphones per earcup and supports transparency and anti-wind modes. Sennheiser claims the ANC is three times more effective than its predecessor. The Momentum 5 features touch controls on the right earcup and a companion smartphone app that enables custom EQ settings and presets.

The Momentum 5 has a dark tuning, with emphasized low and sub-bass, a bright treble that rolls off after 10 kHz, and a slightly reduced consistency in the frequency response when ANC is enabled.
