The Ryobi Sander BE321 - TYPE 2 is a belt sander that holds a 3"x21" belt. The belt sander is the most versatile of the types of sanders that is out there, and it is capable of complete wood removal as well as deep sanding. It has 6 operating speeds that can be tuned with a dial on the side. Each speed has its own use for a multitude of different surfaces mainly wood but a few specific metals as well. The operators manual comes with its own section what can be sanded down at what speed as well as belt type. The device was released in 2007.

The belt sander has not had any recorded difficulties, and worked just fine until a newer model eventually replaced it. This model of Ryobi sander is considered vintage given how old it is.
