Background Information
ROCK Linux, not to be confused with Rocky Linux, was designed to help users create tailor-made GNU/Linux distributions by compiling from source. ROCK Linux was initially started in the summer of 1996 by Claire Wolf but was forked into the T2 SDE distribution in 2004 due to developers' dissatisfaction with the project. ROCK was later discontinued in 2010, but still lives on through T2 to this day.
Distributions that are made using ROCK are also considered to be ROCK Linux.
