Background
Released in 2015, the Nextbook Ares 11 NXA116QC164 is an Android tablet laptop with an 11.6 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels. The tablet also includes a detachable POGO LED keyboard. Running the Android 5.0 Lollipop, the Ares 11 comes with 64GB of internal storage that is expandable via the microSD expansion slot. The tablet includes 1 GB of DDR3L RAM. Its storage capabilities make the Nextbook Ares 11 a suitable cross-over between a business machine and an everyday-use device, fit for running games, digital movies, and other applications. Moreover, the Ares 11 comes with both front and rear cameras with 2MP resolution, easing use for school and work. In terms of privacy, assurance is added through the addition of both a microphone and headphone jack.
The Ares 11 includes a 9000 mAh lithium polymer battery that is advertised to have a run time of up to 10 hours and a recharge time of 4.5 hours. The Nextbook NXA116QC164 table includes Android’s three-button navigation system which includes a house-shaped button as a “home” button in the center of the tablet’s bottom bezel, a rectangle as a “show-all-applications” button on the right of the “home” button, and a “back” button depicted with an arrow pointing to the left.

The Nextbook Ares 11 NXA116QC164 is two-in-one device. It has a traditional tablet-hybrid design as the tablet docks into the keyboard using the sustaining ports and the POGO connectors. The plastic keyboard reclines up to 120 degrees, providing users with effective viewing angles. Weighing in at under 4 pounds, the Ares 11 eases portability for users.
The tablet has the Nextbook logo printed in white and gray at the center of the back case. The model and serial numbers can be found on the original packaging or in the user guide.
