== Background Information ==

After swirling rumors and leaks towards the end of 2024, Nintendo formally announced the Switch 2 on January 16th, 2025. They shared more information at Nintendo Direct on April 2nd, 2025, announcing a launch date of June 5th, 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 is larger than the [[Topic:Nintendo Switch|original Switch]], released in 2017, and sports a larger display. It features two USB-C ports now, one on the bottom and one on the top. Its kickstand is lower profile, and the new [[Topic:Nintendo Switch 2 Joy-Con|Joy-Con 2]] controllers click into place instead of sliding in to lock. It's backwards-compatible with Switch cartridge games.

The Nintendo Switch 2 can be easily identified by the large "2" on the back, as well as a mostly-black design with blue and orange accents—different than the original Switch's blue and red.

Dopo numerose voci e indiscrezioni alla fine del 2024, Nintendo ha annunciato ufficialmente la Switch 2 il 16 gennaio 2025. Ulteriori dettagli sono stati forniti durante il Nintendo Direct del 2 aprile 2025, dove è stata annunciata la data di lancio: 5 giugno 2025.

Nintendo Switch 2 è più grande rispetto al [[Topic:Nintendo Switch|modello originale del 2017]] e presenta uno schermo più ampio. È dotata di due porte USB-C, una sul lato inferiore e una su quello superiore.
