Il Motorola Moto E5 Plus appartiene alla quinta generazione di telefoni Moto E ed è stato rilasciato nell'aprile 2018 insieme al Moto E5 e al Moto E5 Play. La linea E di Motorola è composta da smartphone dal prezzo abbordabile.

Apprezzato per l'elevata autonomia della batteria e lo schermo grande, il Moto E5 Plus dura di più e ha un display più ampio del più costoso Moto G6. D'altra parte, il Moto E5 Plus non ha le stesse prestazioni e la qualità della fotocamera dei modelli superiore del marchio come il Moto G6 o il Moto G6 Play.
